The Rice Famelac Bessau is enzymatically pretreated to lower the viscosity.
The advantage here is that it is more suitable for Bottle-feeding and preparing baby food (infant formula) and that it flows more easily through the nipple of the bottle. It facilitates medical treatment without a longer interruption of giving tea to the infant. Rice Bessau makes it possible to feed solution of up to 10% by teat (prepared with water).

What?
What is gastroesophageal reflux?
Most infants occasionally "spit up" or "throw up" after they eat. Some infants spit up throw up so frequently that they are said to have gastro esophageal reflux. This term describes splashing or pushing of stomach contents back ward up into the esophagus, and sometimes, out the mouth. All of us have some reflux every day. Most of the time, reflux causes no problems or discomfort, and often, we are not even aware when it happens.

Why do some babies have gastroesophagal reflux?
When a baby throws up after nearly every feeding and numerous times between feedings. Parents often became concerned and they seek medical advice. They may be worried that there is something seriously wrong with their baby's stomach or intestinal.

How?
How long infants suffer from gastroesophageal reflux?
Most of the time, reflux in infants and children due to incoordination of the upper intestinal tract rather than to any distinct anatomic abnormality and as a reflux will ultimately outgrow this problem! Most children suffering from gastroesophageal reflux are otherwise normal and healthy.
However, children who have developmental or neurological disabilities are more like to suffer from gastroesophageal reflux than are children who are neurological normal, and the symptoms or reflux in children with developmental disabilities are often more worried that the frequent vomiting associated with GER may limit their child's growth and development. Or cause the child to aspirate and develop pneumonia or other respiratory symptoms.
A small amount of reflux, or regurgitation of stomach acids into the esophagus, is very common in infants. In the majority of cases, GER is caused by the baby's immature intestinal tract.
Fortunately, in the vast majority of cases, none of these are true.
The good news is that almost all babies outgrow this condition; most babies at six months of age are experiencing significantly less difficulty with reflux, and by 18 months only 10 percent of babies still are experiencing these problem.
